Is Hong Kong actress Athena Chu joining the mother-to-bes who are ready to pop a baby out in the year of the Dragon?
The petite beauty was sporting something akin to a baby bump recently, sparking speculations that she might be pregnant.
However, sorry to dash your hope, there's no bun in the oven yet, according to Chu, 40.
The Emmy-nominated actress denied the rumour: "(This is) crazy! There's no such thing. I would only have a child after I get married."
So is she heading down the aisle with boyfriend Paul Wong (of Beyond fame) anytime soon? Not so soon, apparently.
"Ｉ saw how (TVB actress) Ada Choi starts having dark circles under her eyes and that she can't sleep well as she has to take care of her baby. It scares me a little," she said.
She quipped that Wong, 47, is a possessive and sensitive lover, just like herself.
"People who know him wouldn't harbour any feelings towards me. He would chase away any suitor of mine," she said with a laugh.
She also defended another old pal of hers, Noel Leung, the former TVB star who was lately rumoured to have cheated on her husband Gary Chan with freelance emcee Brian Wong.
"I am very confident in her marriage as they had been through a lot before getting together. Perhaps it's just a misunderstanding," she said.
