Sinje marries Oxide Pang

Kedah-born actres Lee Sinje will marry film director and producer Oxide Pang Chun in a pink-themed wedding reception at the luxurious Pangkor Laut Resort Saturday (Feb 6).

It will be a private ceremony to be attended by relatives, family members and close friends.

A close friend of the actress confirmed that Sinje is not pregnant as rumoured.

Among the Hong Kong celeb friends who arrived in Malaysia Friday for the wedding are Aaron Kwok, Gigi Leung, Charlie Yeung and director Sylvia Chang.

Sinje, 34, who had been with Oxide for the past seven years decided to get married after he proposed to her last year. Both of them went to Alor Setar to seek permission from Sinje's parents a few weeks ago.

The singer-turned-actress is the youngest daughter in the family - she has three brothers.

She left Alor Setar in 1995 at the age of 19 to pursue a career in entertainment in Taiwan.

She won the Best Newcomer Award at the Berlin Film Festival in 2001, Best Actress at the Golden Horse Award in 2002 for the hit horror movie, ‘The Eye” and Best Actress at the Golden Bauhinia Film Award in 2003.

It is understood she got to know Oxide while acting in “The Eye” which was directed by the highly-praised Thai-born Hong Kong director and his twin-brother, Danny Pang in 2002.

Her mother Ooi Yean Lee, 54, said,”Sinje informed me and his father about her plan to get married last year and a date was fixed but it was postponed due to their tight schedules.

“My husband and I together with 40 senior and close family members were invited to attend their wedding reception on the island.

“Everything is arranged by them. We only have to go to Lumut on a chartered bus,” said Yean Lee who left Alor setar at about 5am Friday.

“I am very happy that my daughter is finally getting married. I hope they will soon have a healthy grandchild.

"We had been waiting to have grandchildren for so long.

“Actually my husband had been persuading them to get married a few years ago,” said Yean Lee.

Sinje bought all the attire for her parents and brothers in Hong Kong.

“My future son-in-law gets along very well with all my family members. He had visited us many times during Chinese New Year. Everyone in the family likes him and we treat him like our own son,” she said.

What is so wrong with people being creative with their names? They make you constipate in the morning, puke like little puppies in the afternoon, suffer a migraine in the evening and have diarrhea in the night until you cant sleep even a wink?

Wow, what a poor thing with a retarded mind!

Oxide Pang is without doubt one of the dumbest names I have ever heard. Maybe he'll name his kid Hydroxide Pang in the future.

@Nisa: In what way is naming yourself Oxide being creative. Any retarded school kid who went for chemistry classes could coin up that name for themselves.
