Fiery crash kills family of six

The car was destroyed in the accident during which two explosions were heard
A family of six met a fiery death when the car they were travelling in skidded and rammed into a stalled lorry on the North-South Expressway near Senawang, Negri Sembilan on Sunday night.
Suhaimi Ghazali, 41, his wife Nor Fadhillah Isenin, 31, and their children Nor Natashahuda, 11, Mohd Daniel, 10, Mohd Hanif Iman, six, and Adi Putra, two, perished in the horrific crash during which two explosions occurred. Their remains were charred beyond recognition
Suhaimi, the owner of a herbs outlet, was returning home to Teluk Mas in Malacca after the family’s weekend holiday at Bukit Merah Lake Resort in Perak when the accident occurred at 1.30am.

He wanted to return home early because the older children were schooling the next day, his uncle Norwawi Johari, 60, said.
Suhaimi had bought the car – a BMW 5-series – just a month ago.
Norwaiwi said according to police, the car may have skidded before crashing into the undercarriage of the stalled lorry which was in the south-bound emergency lane.
The lorry, laden with granite powder, had been parked there since Sunday evening.
It could not be immediately established why it was not towed away by PLUS, the concessionaire of the expressway.

Also present a the mortuary were Suhaimi’s father Ghazali Johari, 66, mother Rokiah Idrus, 63, and in-laws Isenin Salleh, 70, and Aminah Abdullah, 64.
Thirty-five employees of Fadhilat Herbs Sdn Bhd came from Malacca at about noon to pay their respects. Nor Fadhillah was the company’s administration and financial manager.
Norwawi said things had been getting better for self-made entrepreneur Suhaimi since he set up the business over a year-and-a-half ago.
He said Suhami had also visited an orphanage in Ipoh over the weekend to make a donation. The remains of the family were taken to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital for a post-mortem before burial at Nor Fadhillah’s village in Kg Bukit Pegoh, Pernu, Malacca.
State traffic police chief Asst Supt Halil Hamzah said the impact of the accident caused the car’s engine to be ripped off and thrown into a ditch about 30m away.

My fellow Malaysians..pls be careful driving back this festive seasons....
Malaysia people always ignore problem until someone get kill. Following on, action taken for awhile and later back to as usual normal.
that all...
May them rest in peace.
Accident happened around 01:30 am.
probable cause of accident:-
1) Car travelling at excessive speed, driver lost control, skidded and hit parked lorry laden with granite powder.
2) Car travelling at excessive speed, driver doze off, driver lost control, car skided and hit parked lorry laden with granite powder.
A) Definitely car travelling at excessive speed.
B) Driver lost control and hit parked Lorry laden with granite powder.
Equation A is very obvious.
Equation B ? How did driver lost control?
a) Driver too tired - maybe?
b) Driver tried to avoide something - probable.
c) Driver was chatting on the phone / or with someone? Distracted. - probable.
d) Driver tried to avoid another car or something? - probable.
We may never know the answer but SPEEDING was the main factor then DRIVER loosing control of the SPEEDING Vehicle was another. A huge Lorry parked on the sid...
this excessive speeding by idiots who think that their big cars are safer and nice for speeding should continue to remove themselves from the human gene pool.
the lorry should not be blamed. why is our ministers so banged up on blaming a static immobile object? if the driver instead rammed into a tree should we then blame the tree for existing? if the driver rammed into a palace, should we blame the palace for being there?
Anyway the engine flew away to the other side of the highway after the explosion, and last time i checked, granite powder is not explosive. Thus, either the car caught fire and blew the engine away (which is impossible, due to the low explosive energy yielded by gasoline) or the crash impact threw the engine away.
Since the news never show the engine pics, so we wont know :p
But yes, the victim just got the car a month back, he's probably flooring the car and thus we see what happened. Its always important to get to know your car well (the understeer, oversteer, how it react when it hit water, etc) before going zorro with it.
Happy CNY and drive safely. :D
Service your car regularly.
Rest well.
Start early.
Drive slowly.
Stop for coffee.
Take turn driving (if long distance).
Reach safely.
God bless.
we as Malaysians should emphatise with the situation and learn from the accident.
the comment from Ah Beng is uncalled for...it is a tragic accident..lives were lost here..pls do not say things like that...
